A couple of friends and I decided to do a (socially distanced) bake-sale fundraiser. We planned to donate 50% of our proceeds to Roots Community Clinic in Oakland (to support local Black-Led community efforts in the Bay Area in solidarity with #BlackLivesMatter) and 50% of the proceeds towards Yemen’s humanitarian crisis.
We pitched in $150 to buy all the baking supplies.
We received 40 orders for 400+ desserts!
We raised $750 and matched another $750.
We raised a total of $1500 -
with $750 going towards Roots Community Clinic and
$750 going towards providing support for the Yemen Crisis
